The mind seeks, the heart welcomes

Kindness Courage. The more I listen to this song and sing these words, the more it resonates deep within me. It tells with a very simple beauty the relationship with our parents, the meaning of life and, of course, the meaning of my work in the woods.

When we made the video with Valentina and watched the first ‘filages’, I thought of a voice-over that would explain the technique of constellations in the woods with very light and inspirational music in the background. Oriental sounds, tablas, crystals, Celtic harps. As a ‘clever’ communication professional, I started looking for music libraries, spending whole evenings. Nothing. I couldn’t find anything! It all seemed so boring and commercial.

Then I remembered. It is not from the energy of my expertise that this project, this site and these stories were born. I have always connected to the universe with humility and trust to welcome what was to come, entrusting myself completely.

Perfect. The right music will come if I don’t look for it. I prepare myself to receive, even if it were also a completely different harmony from what I had imagined.

At the next login, Kolby Knickerbocker hits me on a library: this name reminds me of the Zouaves velvet trousers we used to wear to walk in the mountains with my parents.

A folk song, interpreted by a nice voice. And played on the guitar the way I like it. I listen to it and listen to it again. It could also work, I tell myself, while Valentina has prepared the final editing.

She tells me, let’s try to place it under the mount and see its effect.

The synchronous is perfect, right down to the last frames. Now I listen to the words well. They are very deep and he, Kolby is a deep and sensitive soul. Here they are:

Kindness Courage – Kolby Knickerbocker

Let the first sound you hear
Be a beating heart
Beating bright, beating bold

When your eyes come to me
I’m humbled constantly
A supernova insight

In the rising and fall
Of the mountains and your breath
There are dreams, there are dreams

Remember yours is the heart
That paints the world the very best
In the colours of your life

So be kind, have courage
Treat yourself with dignity
Walk tall, speak sweetly
Be brave enough to leave
And when you’re caught in the darkness
That comes over me
Remember yours is a light, that the darkness cannot be
That yours is a light, that the darkness cannot be

May you find that your heart
Burns as big as your mothers
And your smile just as bright

Remember grace when you fall
And turn to shadows like your father
And the words to make it right
Make it right

It’s to be kind, have courage
Treat yourself with dignity
Walk tall, speak sweetly
Be brave enough to leave
And when you’re caught in the darkness
That comes over me
Remember yours is a light, that the darkness cannot be
That yours is a light, that the darkness cannot be

As you fall into stars
Find your place amongst the orchards
Know you’re perfect as you are
